How to Password Protect Google Drive Photos

Know what Google Drive can and cannot do
Drive can restrict files to specific Google accounts or anyone with a link, but it does not give you a polished password screen for a client photo gallery. That can be awkward when several people need to view one shoot.
Use a gallery for client-facing privacy
A gallery layer lets you keep files in Drive while sharing a cleaner client URL with a password. Clients open the gallery, enter the password, and browse without dealing with Drive permissions.
Combine passwords with expiration
For private shoots, proofs, or limited-time delivery, use a password and an expiration date together. That gives clients simple access while reducing the chance that old links stay public forever.
Keep download access separate
Password protection controls who can view the gallery. Download settings control whether clients can save files. Treat those as separate choices for proofing and final delivery.
