How to Send Photos to Clients Professionally
Client delivery is part of the shoot. A clean gallery makes your work feel finished, keeps clients from getting lost in file names, and gives them one place to view, choose, and download their photos.
Use a gallery instead of a raw folder link
A raw Google Drive folder works for storage, but it is not built for presentation. Clients see file names, Drive controls, and account prompts instead of a polished viewing experience. A client gallery puts the photos first and keeps download, privacy, and branding controls in one place.
Make selection simple
If clients need to pick favorites, give them a like or selection flow instead of asking for filenames in an email thread. This reduces mistakes and shortens revision rounds for weddings, portraits, interiors, events, and commercial shoots.
Protect private galleries
Use password protection or expiring galleries when a shoot is private, seasonal, or only meant for one client. Avoid sending public folder links that keep circulating after delivery is finished.
Keep your brand visible
Your delivery page should look like it belongs to your studio. Add your name, website, profile, and ideally your own domain. A small branded gallery is more memorable than another generic cloud-storage link.
Send one clear client link
The best delivery email is short: thank the client, link the gallery, explain what they can do inside it, and set expectations for downloads or selection deadlines.
